Job Description
As a Content Developer (Instructional Designer), you are responsible for designing learning solutions (design, development and implementation) of new hire and ongoing learning content for Coverage Review Operations (CRO) to enable critical business priorities and elevate staff performance levels in a dynamic and changing environment.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, implement and evaluate training materials for new hire and tenured advocates, supervisors, and support staff in alignment with the training approach, including content for new system releases and changes in process.
- Use instructional design methodologies to determine the best learning approach for addressing business needs and determine methods to measure success of the programs.
- Perform ongoing curriculum maintenance to ensure training materials are current and documentation is available in a secure shared location.
- Experience and ability to measure the success of training content using proven Instructional Design methodologies.
- Proven ability to create engaging innovative micro-learning courses in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop solid role play scenarios and incorporate them into the training curricula
- Develop written and verbal learner evaluations to ensure knowledge transfer.
- Continuously enhance the training experience by creating an interactive and engaging learning environment utilizing instructor-led, virtual and eLearning platforms.
- Mentor and coach others on instructional design methodologies.
- Conduct quality audits of peer training materials.
- Measure the success of training using proven methodologies.
- Continually improve the effectiveness and depth of the training curricula by staying current with evolving instructional design techniques.
- Perform training (in-person/virtual) and facilitation as required to meet business needs.
Project/Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships and partnership with stakeholders, leadership, business partners to determine opportunities for improvement in learning programs, including soft skills and competency development as well as technical knowledge and proficiency.
- Identify changes in products, systems and processes that impact training by participating in operational project meetings or receiving relevant communications.
- Develop strong relationships with our business partners to implement and assist in curriculum development
- Using Agile methodologies, identify changes in products, systems and processes that impact training and update the curriculum as needed with these changes
- Communicate and work effectively with all levels of management.
- Lead large-scale projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead assessing business needs & determining scope of projects.
- Communicate and work effectively with all levels of management
- Build effective partnerships with SMEs and trainers to enable delivery, collect feedback and implement lessons learned.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years progressive corporate instructional design experience required, preferably in an Agile environment.
- High school diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong skills working with Articulate 360, Vyond, Camtasia, WellSaid and SnagIt required.
- Strong PC and MS Office skills.
- Instructional design certification is preferred.
- Demonstrated success with business writing and presentation skills
- Experience developing training curriculum for a customer service call center and/or Healthcare industry preferred
- Ability to incorporate the principles of adult learning into training curricula utilizing instructor-led, virtual and eLearning platforms.
- Ability to bring innovative thought process to curriculum design and curation.
- Ability to convey complex information and scenarios into meaningful, effective training materials.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) at all levels of the organization
- Understanding of the Principles of Adult Learning
- Ability to bring innovative thought process to curriculum design and curation.
- Experience implementing training programs and building strong relationships and consensus.
- Exposure to Knowledge management and technical writing preferred.
