Gross Monthly Salary: PHP 55,000 – PHP 75,000
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00pm to 7:00am (Philippine Time)

Job Summary:
The Instructional Design Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality learning solutions that support Woodgrain's IT systems, applications, and business processes. This role translates complex technical information into clear, engaging, and learner-focused training experiences that enable employees and business partners to effectively adopt and use technology solutions. The role applies instructional design principles and learning technologies to create scalable, accessible, and measurable learning experiences.
This position reports to the Organizational Change Management Manager. This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain engaging learning solutions, including eLearning courses, simulations, assessments, microlearning, job aids, and instructor-led training materials.
- Develop and maintain learning content, curricula, learning paths, and assessments within the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Apply instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and learning science to create effective and measurable learning experiences.
- Create interactive digital learning experiences using Adobe Captivate and other rapid authoring and multimedia development tools.
- Partner with IT subject matter experts to analyze learning needs and transform complex technical and business process information into clear, structured, learner-friendly content.
- Develop and maintain storyboards, scripts, learning objectives, assessments, facilitator materials, and evaluation measures.
- Ensure training materials are accurate, consistent, accessible, user-friendly, and aligned with Woodgrain's standards and business needs.
- Collaborate with the IT Training Program Administrator to align learning content with training delivery strategies, schedules, system implementations, and program priorities.
- Maintain and organize training assets, user guides, job aids, technical documentation, and other learning resources.
- Evaluate learning effectiveness using learner feedback, performance data, adoption metrics, and other relevant measures; recommend improvements based on findings.
- Support the development and sustainment of training content for enterprise systems, IT applications, system upgrades, and new technology implementations.
- Stay current with instructional design methodologies, learning technologies, accessibility standards, and digital learning trends.
- Promote consistent instructional design practices and a high-quality learner experience across IT training programs.
- Support Woodgrain's mission, vision, and values through collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Additional duties that are needed to help drive the Woodgrain mission, vision, and values may be assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, Organizational Development, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- At least 2 years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, learning and development, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience developing digital learning content using Adobe Captivate or comparable rapid authoring tools
- Experience translating complex technical, system, or business process information into clear and engaging learning content

- Strong instructional design, technical writing, and information design skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts, technical teams, business stakeholders, and other learning professionals.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The physical demands and work environment for this role align with those of a standard office setting. While performing job duties, the employee may occasionally need to stand, walk, sit, use hands for handling objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as well as talk and hear. This role may occasionally require lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule, excluding company holidays, with working hours that may vary based on departmental needs.
Travel: This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
