Job Purpose
Responsible for generating fixed income revenues through client acquisition and servicing clients by
providing investment and trading advice while monitoring the financial markets and the client's orders.
Major Responsibilities
- Increase fixed income sales by managing current business relationships with institutional clients, concentrating on those who provide the largest commission revenues and on other VIPs, and by expanding the Company's institutional client base
- Closely monitor all market trends and analyze and respond to developing opportunities and threats that may impact on the business.
- Represent the company by actively participating in industry and client conferences, seminars, and trade events.
- Participate actively in local organizations and maintain a professional network (e.g. with the PSE, SCCP, Brokers, FMAP, TOAP, other industry associations and listed firms) in order to foster goodwill, generate top-of-mind awareness, remain updated on industry news and respond quickly to industry developments.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, product demos and other fixed income sales activities.
- Provide the Operations unit with accurate and complete information regarding client requests and complaints to ensure that client concerns are addressed effectively.
- Keep abreast of current events, including political, economic and listed company developments that may have an impact on the investment opportunities and risks of fixed income institutional clients.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must be a Fixed Income Market Salesman
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Financial Management or any related course, Master's degree, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
- Experience: At least 2 - 5 years of extensive experience in institutional fixed income sales.
- Knowledge: Capital markets ie. Bonds and Equities
