Institutional Banking Group- Commercial Banking Team Head

The Institutional Banking Group (IBG) focuses on providing financial services to large corporations and medium-sized enterprises. The main product offering includes loans designed to support the growth and operations of these businesses. The group delivers tailored financial solutions to meet the diverse needs of its clients, helping them achieve their strategic objectives and manage their financial health effectively.

The Commercial Banking Team Head is responsible for the team's attainment of business goals including revenue generation and account management, maintenance of portfolio credit quality and supervision of manpower resources of the team.

Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management : Handles middle market & SMEs (Small and Medium Sized Enterprises)

• Ensure solid and continuing relationship with the clients and direct communication with key client decision makers
• Manage a portfolio sub-set of credit worthy accounts that can influence volume, usage pricing and profitability as/when needed
• Varies client mix to ensure diversity of portfolio
• Drive the pursuit of new clients and product enhancements

Credit and Risk Management

• Track adherence to bank policies procedures such as credit review and documentation requirements and work plans and problem account management
• Periodically evaluate the sustainability of loan facilities against market conditions, competition, perceived growth, and risk factors with the Relationship Managers
• Review and recommend credit proposals based on quality of credit and cash flow statements, collateral and other risk mitigants, and adherence to bank policies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree graduate with a minimum of 5 years experience in banking and at least 3 years in an officer level role in account solicitation and relationship management (principally in commercial and corporate loans)
• Above average credit analysis and loan packaging skills
