Job Description

Electrician Installer Job Responsibilities

To Install, test, and commission fire alarm systems (FDAS), CCTV cameras, fire protection systems, and other auxiliary equipment.
Mount and connect equipment such as sensors, cameras, alarm panels, and notification devices.
Install cabling, conduits, and wiring for low-voltage systems according to layout plans and electrical codes.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on installed systems.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair any faults or malfunctions in fire protection, CCTV, and alarm systems.
Replace defective components and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal system performance.
Perform system testing to ensure functionality and compliance with industry standards.
Document and report test results and adjust settings as needed to meet operational specifications.
Coordinate with fire department inspectors or other regulatory bodies for compliance checks and certifications.
Adhere to company and industry safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
Follow electrical codes and regulations for wiring and system installation.
Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and certifications as required for FDAS, CCTV, and fire protection systems.
Maintain accurate records of installation, repair, and maintenance work.
Prepare reports and documentation, including maintenance logs, service tickets, and compliance certificates.
Report any safety hazards, system malfunctions, or project delays to supervisors.

Electrician Installer Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in electrical work preferred.
1-3 years of experience as an electrician or installer, ideally in the auxiliary systems industry.
Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and cabling practices for low-voltage installations. Familiarity with fire alarms, CCTV systems, and FDAS.
Ability to read blueprints, interpret specifications, and follow technical instructions.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions effectively.
