Job Description

Electrician Installer Job Responsibilities

  • To Install, test, and commission fire alarm systems (FDAS), CCTV cameras, fire protection systems, and other auxiliary equipment.
  • Mount and connect equipment such as sensors, cameras, alarm panels, and notification devices.
  • Install cabling, conduits, and wiring for low-voltage systems according to layout plans and electrical codes.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on installed systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair any faults or malfunctions in fire protection, CCTV, and alarm systems.
  • Replace defective components and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Perform system testing to ensure functionality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Document and report test results and adjust settings as needed to meet operational specifications.
  • Coordinate with fire department inspectors or other regulatory bodies for compliance checks and certifications.
  • Adhere to company and industry safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Follow electrical codes and regulations for wiring and system installation.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and certifications as required for FDAS, CCTV, and fire protection systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of installation, repair, and maintenance work.
  • Prepare reports and documentation, including maintenance logs, service tickets, and compliance certificates.
  • Report any safety hazards, system malfunctions, or project delays to supervisors.

Electrician Installer Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in electrical work preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience as an electrician or installer, ideally in the auxiliary systems industry.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and cabling practices for low-voltage installations. Familiarity with fire alarms, CCTV systems, and FDAS.
  • Ability to read blueprints, interpret specifications, and follow technical instructions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions effectively.
