Insolvency - Senior Consultant AU

Key responsibilities:

• Manage stakeholder communications by generating, editing, and sending precedent letters, reports, and statutory updates to creditors and employees.
• Handle new case intake by onboarding clients into relevant systems and preparing standard Day 1 forms for new appointments.
• Maintain regulatory compliance by monitoring ASIC statutory lodgments and assisting with the preparation of annual returns (Form 5602s and 5603s).
• Execute financial administration tasks, including preparing receipt and payment vouchers with supporting documentation for trade-on administrations.
• Support tax and accounting functions by assisting with workpapers and the preparation and lodging of Business Activity Statements (BAS).
• Conduct analytical support through basic data collation, financial analysis, investigations, and the review of creditor claims or proofs of debt.
• Facilitate engagement management by assisting with internal risk approvals, CRM processes, and the drafting of engagement letters.
• Assist with the finalization of liquidation and bankruptcy matters alongside other ad-hoc tasks related to insolvency management.

Job Qualifications:

• Accounting degree, business administration qualification, or an equivalent Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• At least 4-7 years of working experience in a financial services firm is highly preferred, and prior professional services experience is a plus.
• Full training will be provided to candidates eager to learn this specialized field.
• Familiarity with Xero accounting software is advantageous, and experience within an international practice is preferred.
• Knowledge in Australian Securities and Investments Commission statutory (ASIC) lodgements is a PLUS but not required
