Inpatient Coder - Quality Assurance Specialist
- The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is responsible in ensuring accuracy of information and quality of delivery by monitorin g, auditing, reviewing, analyzing, documenting work processes that further improves clinical operations standards. Performs quality audits, validates results and communicates recommendation among responsible departments. Participates in design, review, and amendment of QA monitor ing tools and guides. Creates QA reports and provides data to Quality Assurance leadership. Uses quality monitoring data management sys tem to track and document performances. Works with the Operations and Training teams to analyze performance feedback and resolve issues.
- At least 1 year of Inpatient Coding experience or relevant
- License: PRN + IP With CCS/CPC/CIC Certification (Inpatient)
Inpatient Coder - Sr. Associate
- The Senior Medical Coder is mainly responsible for processing simple to complex cases of the processes handled. Must show increasing proficiency in client/ internal customer language, operating procedures and standards. The role also is expected to provide guidance and serve as an informal resource to others who have less experience in the assigned business, clinical or technical support processes. Operations Quality as a service is a senior medical coder that is mainly responsible for providing auditing services to clients. The Senior Medical Coder ensures accuracy and quality through monitoring, reviewing, analyzing the work process to deliver a standard result in assigning codes to diagnosis and procedures, using ICD (Internal Classification of Disease), PCS (Procedural Codes) or CPT (Current Procedural Terminology).
- With AHIMA and/or AAPC Coding Credential
- At least 1 year of recent and pertinent clinical/hospital or similar experience
- At least 3 years of coding experience
