Your Role And Responsibilities
Lead an offshore infrastructure delivery and operations team supporting enterprise on‑premises and cloud environments. Ensure high‑quality execution, operational stability, and continuous improvement. Act as a consultative partner to onshore and client‑side infrastructure leads by providing technical input, operational insights, metrics‑driven recommendations, and thought leadership to support strategy and design decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Offshore Delivery & Operations Leadership (Primary)
- Lead and manage an offshore infrastructure team of approximately 30 engineers
- Ensure delivery and operational work meets agreed SLAs, quality standards, and timelines
- Oversee day‑to‑day infrastructure operations including:
- Incident, problem, and change support
- Operational readiness and stability
- Support for releases and business‑critical changes
- Provide direction and prioritization to ensure effective execution across infrastructure domains
- Manage delivery risks, operational issues, and escalations
Operations Management, Metrics & Continuous Improvement
- Define, track, and report key operational and delivery metrics, including:
- System availability and reliability
- Incident volumes, severity, and resolution times
- Change success rates
- Delivery throughput and quality indicators
- Analyze metrics and operational trends to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Develop and drive action plans to address performance issues and improve service quality
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for major incidents and recurring issues
- Provide operations and performance insights to onshore leads and client stakeholders
Delivery Governance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure offshore delivery aligns with approved designs, architectures, standards, and IT policies
- Review and validate infrastructure deliverables produced by the offshore team
- Provide regular delivery and operations status updates, risks, and recommendations
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and governance activities
Consultative Support & Thought Leadership
- Act as a consultant and thought partner to onshore and client-side infrastructure leads
- Provide technical and operational input into:
- Infrastructure design and implementation approaches
- Cloud and hybrid infrastructure decisions
- Operational and support models
- Advise on technology options, implementation risks, operational implications, and trade‑offs
- Share best practices, lessons learned, and industry insights to support informed decision‑making
Technical Scope (On-Prem & Cloud)
- Provide leadership and oversight across:
- On‑premises infrastructure (servers, storage, virtualization, networking)
- Cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
- Hybrid infrastructure environments
- Guide implementation of solutions for high availability, backup, disaster recovery, and resilience
- Support automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives
- Ensure infrastructure operations support application, integration, and DevOps needs
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with onshore delivery leads, architects, and client‑facing teams
- Coordinate effectively across time zones to support delivery and consultation needs
- Communicate delivery status, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders
Capability Development & Team Enablement
- Build and grow infrastructure delivery and operations capability within the offshore team
- Identify skill gaps and develop capability plans aligned with current and future infrastructure needs
- Drive skills development across domains such as cloud, on‑prem, security, automation, and operations
- Promote best practices, standardization, and reuse across infrastructure services
- Support mentoring, knowledge sharing, and cross‑skilling to improve team maturity and resilience
- Ensure the offshore team remains aligned with evolving technology and operational standards
Preferred Education
Bachelor's Degree
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- At least 10 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering
- 5+ years of experience leading large offshore infrastructure delivery and operations teams (20+ staff)
- Proven experience in operations leadership, including SLA management and metrics‑driven improvement
- Experience supporting and advising onshore/client‑side infrastructure leads
Technical Skills
- Strong experience across on‑premises infrastructure (compute, storage, virtualization, networking)
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
- Knowledge of networking, security, and identity management
- Experience with resilience, DR, backup, and capacity planning
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation
- Understanding of containers and platform services (Kubernetes / OpenShift)
- Ability to review infrastructure designs and assess operational impact
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Experience supporting healthcare or other regulated environments
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation or cloud migration programs
