IT Support (Powershell)
Salary Range: $1,213 to $1,516 per month
Join a growing IT services organization in a centralized technical role focused on proactively identifying and resolving security, compliance, Windows, and device-management issues across large numbers of endpoints. You'll combine strong troubleshooting skills with PowerShell scripting, automation, Microsoft 365, networking, and device management to solve recurring problems efficiently and improve systems before they affect users.
What You'll Do:
- Monitor and resolve centralized alerts for malware, email quarantine, device compliance, and other proactive technical issues.
- Manage Windows compliance initiatives, including updates and security standards, and transition remaining exceptions into ongoing monitoring.
- Write, test, and refine PowerShell scripts to resolve issues across large numbers of devices and automate repetitive work.
- Troubleshoot complex Windows desktop and networking issues involving VLANs, DNS, DHCP, subnets, and connectivity.
- Use Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID to manage devices, policies, applications, updates, and endpoint configurations.
- Handle bulk remediation and support automation-heavy technical projects when issues affect larger groups of devices.
- Escalate issues when needed, contact end users only when direct intervention is required, and document work in the ticketing system.
Who You'll Work With:
Be an integral part of a collaborative IT services team, working alongside the internal help desk, technical specialists, and project teams to resolve recurring issues at scale. You'll operate independently on proactive monitoring, compliance, automation, and endpoint-management work while coordinating with internal team members when issues require escalation or broader project support.
Who We're Looking For:
- PowerShell & Automation: Able to independently write, test, troubleshoot, and refine PowerShell scripts to resolve issues across multiple devices, with a focus on scalable solutions over repetitive manual work.
- Windows Expertise: Strong Windows desktop troubleshooting skills and able to diagnose issues without relying on step-by-step instructions.
- Networking: Comfortable troubleshooting VLANs, DNS, DHCP, subnets, and general connectivity.
- Microsoft Environment: Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot, configuration policies, application deployment, updates, device management, and Entra ID.
- Experience: IT support experience is required.
- Independent & Resourceful: Able to work through unfamiliar technical problems, test different approaches, and stay productive without constant supervision.
- Adaptable: Comfortable handling repetitive technical work when automation is not practical.
- Communication: Able to understand technical instructions, collaborate internally, and occasionally communicate with end users.
- Remote Setup: Reliable workspace with a laptop, headset, camera, preferably an external monitor, and at least 100 Mbps download speed.
