IT Manager (Head)
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the support team, ensuring that the application is always available, handling incidents with minimal interruption on the business, assisting users on new initiatives, and recommending solutions to new business initiatives.
Application Support
- Analyze issues and their impact on business and other applications
- Elevate critical issues to the application vendor and push for an immediate solution
- Recommend alternative solutions to issues to soften the impact on business operations
- Drive root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize future occurrences
Change Management
- Review and approve change requests related to applications
- Assess the impact of changes on applications
- Ensure proper planning and communication to minimize operational disruptions and risks.
- Facilitate discussions and consensus among various teams, such as developers, infrastructure, and business stakeholders
Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate new requirements and recommendations by challenging necessity, usability, clarity, and cost
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any related field with minimum of 5 years of IT experience, in a managerial capacity
