Job Summary
The IT Governance Analyst supports the implementation and monitoring of IT governance processes to ensure IT activities align with company policies, standards, and business objectives. The role assists in reviewing IT processes, coordinating with infrastructure and development teams, supporting IT projects, and helping ensure compliance with governance frameworks and internal controls. The role may also serve as a backup or alternate for the System Administrator to support basic system administration tasks when needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the implementation and maintenance of IT governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Help ensure IT activities follow internal governance frameworks and guidelines.
IT Process Review & Audit Support
• Assist in reviewing and documenting IT processes across infrastructure, applications, and IT services.
• Support internal and external IT audit activities.
• Help identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
Infrastructure Governance
• Coordinate with infrastructure teams to ensure IT operations follow governance standards.
• Support documentation and monitoring of infrastructure-related controls.
Business Engagement
• Work with Business Analysts and IT teams to support both project initiatives and BAU (Business-As-Usual) activities.
• Ensure business requirements and IT deliverables follow governance processes.
Digitalization Support
• Assist in governance activities related to digital transformation and technology initiatives.
• Support governance oversight for IT projects including documentation, approvals, and compliance with project standards.
• Assist in tracking project status and governance checkpoints.
Application Development Governance
• Coordinate with application development teams to ensure adherence to SDLC processes and governance standards.
Solution Architecture Coordination
• Support collaboration with solution architects to ensure solutions align with IT standards and architecture guidelines.
System Administration Backup
• Serve as a backup or alternate for the System Administrator when required.
• Provide basic support for system administration tasks such as user access management, system monitoring, and troubleshooting under supervision.
• Maintain governance documentation, reports, and process records.
• Assist in preparing governance reports for management.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in IT operations, IT governance, IT audit, or IT project support.
• Basic knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL) is an advantage.
