What youll do:

As Information Systems Audit Head in the Philippines, you will be responsible for guiding the organisations IS Audit function with a strong focus on Pre-Implementation Audit. Your day-to-day activities will involve leading comprehensive audits of technology projects before they go liveensuring that all risks are identified early and appropriate controls are in place. You will conduct SDLC reviews as well as pre-go-live assessments of new application implementations and major technology projects. By evaluating IT project design elements such as development processes, testing protocols, security measures, change management procedures, and implementation controls you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organisations digital assets. Your expertise will be called upon to provide independent assessments of technology risks prior to launch. You will also oversee audit findings by reviewing recommendations from your team as well as management actions taken in response. Developing audit methodologies that keep pace with evolving technology risks is youll ensure effective coverage across emerging technologies while offering valuable insights to senior management about significant cybersecurity or IT governance concerns. Supporting the broader IS Audit strategyincluding planning activities, resource allocation decisions, execution oversightand collaborating with other governance functions will be central to your success. • Lead and oversee the Pre-Implementation Audit function for technology projects, systems, applications, and infrastructure initiatives by ensuring comprehensive risk assessment prior to go-live.
• Conduct thorough System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) reviews and pre-go-live assessments to evaluate readiness for implementation.
• Review new application implementations and major technology projects to assess risks, controls, governance structures, and preparedness for deployment.
• Evaluate IT project design, development processes, testing protocols, security measures, change management procedures, and implementation controls to ensure robust risk mitigation.
• Provide independent assessment and actionable recommendations on technology risks before systems or applications are launched.
• Oversee audit findings by reviewing recommendations, management actions, and remediation plans to ensure effective resolution of identified issues.
• Develop and enhance IS Audit methodologies by aligning programmes with evolving technology risks and industry best practices.
• Ensure effective audit coverage across emerging technologies and transformation initiatives by adapting approaches as needed.
• Offer insights and recommendations to senior management regarding significant technology, cybersecurity, and IT governance risks.

What you bring:

To excel as Information Systems Audit Head you should bring extensive experience in IT/IS Audit gained through senior or leadership positions where you managed large teams responsible for complex audits. Your background should include hands-on involvement in Pre-Implementation Auditscovering SDLC reviews as well as evaluations of new application implementations or major technology projects before they go live. Candidates who have primarily worked on Post-Implementation Audits but possess meaningful exposure to Pre-Implementation processes are also welcome. A deep understanding of IT governance frameworks is crucial along with familiarity regarding internal control mechanisms used within enterprise environments. Exposure to cybersecurity risk assessment techniques is highly valued especially if you can evaluate evolving threats from an audit perspective. Experience auditing emerging technologies or providing assurance over large-scale digital transformation initiatives demonstrates adaptabilitya key trait for this role given rapid changes in tech landscapes. Your proven track record managing sizeable teams (ideally 15+ members) should be complemented by strong people leadership mentoring others while fostering technical capability is essential here. • 1012+ years of experience in IT/IS Audit with substantial exposure in senior or leadership roles overseeing large specialised teams.
• Extensive hands-on experience in Pre-Implementation Audit including SDLC reviews, new application implementation reviews, technology project evaluations, and pre-go-live assessments.
• Candidates with predominantly Post-Implementation Audit backgrounds may be considered if they have meaningful exposure to Pre-Implementation audits and SDLC reviews.
• Deep understanding of IT governance frameworks, technology risk management principles, internal control mechanisms, and audit methodologies relevant to complex organisations.
• Exposure to cybersecurity risk assessment techniques including the ability to evaluate evolving technology threats from an audit perspective.
• Experience auditing or providing assurance over emerging technologies as well as large-scale digital transformation initiatives within enterprise environments.
• Ability to adapt audit approaches based on current trends in technology risk while maintaining effective coverage across new platforms or systems.
• Proven track record managing large teams (preferably 15+ members), developing technical capability within groups through mentoring or training initiatives.
