Your Role
As an
Information Security Engineer, you will:
- Monitor and manage technical security controls, including Endpoint Protection, Email Security Gateways, SIEM, and Web proxies.
- Investigate network and endpoint compromises by leading end-to-end incident response and forensic handling.
- Automate manual workflows and intelligence gathering through scripting to enhance threat hunting capabilities.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues to resolution by collaborating with vendor support and internal stakeholders.
- Generate operational reports for management by collating and analyzing security data to track system health and risk.
What You Need
Non-negotiables
- At least 3+ years of experience in a Security Operations (SecOps) role within a medium to large organization.
- Proven hands-on experience with SIEM, DLP, Vulnerability Management, and Privileged Identity & Access Management (PIM/PAM).
- Demonstrated ability to handle end-to-end incident response and investigations of system compromises.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional reporting to management and technical staff.
- Proven history of working in a position of trust with the ability to function under minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills/expertise
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for security automation.
- Experience in proactive threat hunting and identifying potential network vulnerabilities.
- Strong attention to detail and advanced problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
- Experience in managing Web Proxies and Email Security Gateways.
- Familiarity with producing high-level operational metrics and KPIs for executive review.
