Information Security & Compliance Analyst

Job Overview

An established organization is seeking an Information Security & Compliance Analyst to evaluate IT systems and internal controls. In this full-time remote role, you will support compliance audits across SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR frameworks while managing data privacy and third-party risks. You will also interface directly with clients to communicate security posture and answer compliance queries under tight deadlines. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in IT auditing and regulatory compliance.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, with full availability to overlap with US Eastern Time (EST) or Pacific Time (PST) business hours (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Systems & Controls Evaluation: Assess, evaluate, and report on the overall security and effectiveness of IT systems and related internal controls.
• Audit & Framework Support: Support ongoing compliance and audit processes related to SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR frameworks.
• Domain Oversight: Handle tasks across cybersecurity, data privacy, third-party risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Client-Facing Compliance: Interface directly with clients to support communication around security posture and compliance queries under tight deadlines.

Must-Have Requirements

• Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on experience in information security, cybersecurity, data privacy, third-party risks, and regulatory compliance.
• Audit Exposure: Direct exposure to SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits. Experience with GDPR is highly desirable.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills (essential for client-facing discussions and reporting).
• Industry Focus: Background in Insurance, Banking, or Financial Services is preferred.
• Certifications (Asset): CISM, CISA, CISSP, or similar certifications are considered an asset.
• Soft Skills: Customer-facing experience, willing to work under pressure, meet tight customer deadlines, and eager to learn.
