Mainly responsible on the concept and design in developing products (furniture, metalworks, joineries, specialty / decorative items, etc.) showcasing the capabilities of the acquired machines of the plant.
Conduct product development market research by identifying customer needs, market trends, and competitor offerings.
Explore raw materials and processes by ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely production.
Create and present detailed 2D and 3D shop drawings using CAD software (inclusive of assembly instructions, material lists and costing, and methodology to support fabrication and installation processes).
Translate design ideas into production-ready technical documents which adhere to design standards and consider structural integrity, ergonomics, and material efficiency.
Collaborate with production team to guarantee the design intent, manufacturing capabilities, and material specifications.
Provide production support during prototyping and fabrication and troubleshoot design or material issues that arise during production.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending design or process optimizations and carry out other responsibilities as instructed by immediate superior within the overall function.
Minimum Qualifications
College degree, Industrial Designer or any related course
