Role Description: The Industrial Designer at CJ Works PH is a full-time, on-site role based in Marikina City, responsible for designing and developing products that leverage acrylic, wood, CNC cutting, and laser technologies. Daily tasks include optimizing CAD designs and layouts, conceptualizing product ideas, creating detailed design drawings and 3D models, and collaborating with production staff to ensure designs are feasible and efficient for production. The role involves building prototypes, refining designs based on testing and feedback, and preparing production specifications and documentation.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Industrial Design and Product Design, with the ability to balance aesthetics, function, and manufacturability.
Hands-on experience with Prototyping and Product Development, including testing, iteration, and preparing designs for production.
Proficiency in Design Thinking, user-centered design processes, and creative problem-solving for real-world fabrication challenges.
Competence in relevant design software (e.g., CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for 2D/3D modeling and technical drawings.
Familiarity with materials and processes such as acrylic and wood fabrication, CNC cutting, and laser cutting/engraving.
Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced workshop environment.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with production teams and clients on-site.
Preferred: Diploma or degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field, and prior experience in a fabrication or manufacturing setting.
