Role Description This is a project based online role for an Indonesian Translator. The Indonesian Translator will translate survey questionnaires, marketing materials, app content, and research outputs between English and Indonesian while preserving accuracy, cultural relevance, and tone. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and localizing content for clarity and consistency, collaborating with research, product, and marketing teams, and ensuring terminology alignment across projects. The role will also involve proofreading and editing translated materials, contributing to style guides and glossaries, and meeting project deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The Indonesian Translator will help optimize user experience for Indonesian-speaking respondents and clients.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Indonesian and English, with excellent reading, writing, and speaking skills in both languages.
- Proven experience in translation and localization, preferably for surveys, apps, websites, or marketing content.
- Solid skills in proofreading, editing, and ensuring linguistic accuracy, coherence, and consistency.
- Ability to understand and adapt content to Indonesian cultural context and nuances.
- Comfort working with digital tools, online platforms, and basic office productivity software.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional, multicultural teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communication, Journalism, Asian Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in market research, UX research, or data-driven industries is an advantage.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid setup based in Makati and adapt to a dynamic, growing startup environment.
