Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Engineer
We are looking for a detail-oriented and quality-driven Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Engineer to manage and coordinate incoming material inspection activities. This role ensures that all incoming materials meet required quality standards before release to production, while also supporting nonconformance handling, inspection planning, and training of IQC personnel.
Job Responsibilities:
IQC Inspection Planning & Control
- Plan and schedule incoming inspection activities based on delivery and production requirements
- Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and production teams for inspection prioritization
- Ensure inspections follow approved standards, procedures, and specifications
- Monitor inspection progress to ensure timely release of materials
- Manage inspection workload and ensure smooth inspection flow
Inspection Monitoring & Coordination:
- Monitor daily IQC inspection status and completion of tasks
- Communicate inspection results and material status to relevant departments
- Report delays, risks, and concerns to the QA Supervisor
- Coordinate closely with production, warehouse, and purchasing teams
Nonconformance Management
- Identify and document nonconforming materials during inspection
- Support preparation of NCR reports and coordinate disposition decisions
- Evaluate inspection results and issue Product No-Go decisions when necessary
- Ensure proper segregation and control of rejected materials
Training & Development
- Conduct training for newly hired IQC inspectors
- Provide continuous coaching on inspection procedures and standards
- Train inspectors on measurement tools and inspection techniques
- Maintain training records and competency documentation
Quality Records & Documentation
- Maintain accurate IQC inspection records and reports
- Ensure proper documentation of NCRs and inspection results
- Maintain training and competency records for inspectors
- Ensure compliance with document control procedures
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
- Around 2 years or more of experience in quality inspection or quality engineering (manufacturing environment preferred)
- Experience in IQC processes and material evaluation
- Background in nonconformance management and inspection planning
- Experience in training inspectors is an advantage
- Familiarity with dimensional inspection and quality standards
