Job Description

The Senior Income Audit Associate is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of revenue transactions through effective review, reconciliation, and monitoring of income audit activities. The role oversees revenue validation processes, investigates discrepancies, supports compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and contributes to improvements in revenue reporting and operational processes. The ideal candidate has strong income audit or revenue accounting experience within a hospitality, shared services, or multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate daily revenue transactions across multiple business areas, including sales, food and beverage, rooms, events, and other revenue streams, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations of Point-of-Sale (POS) transactions, cashier reports, payment settlements, and related revenue records, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Review discounts, voids, refunds, and complimentary transactions to ensure proper authorization, documentation, and compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly income audit reports, revenue summaries, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate revenue reporting.
  • Ensure revenue transactions are accurately recorded in the General Ledger and comply with accounting policies and reporting requirements.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing revenue reconciliations and assisting with financial reporting requirements.
  • Investigate complex revenue discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and other business teams to resolve audit findings and improve revenue recording processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and support process improvement, automation, and control enhancement initiatives to improve income audit efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for internal and external audits, and respond to audit inquiries as needed.
  • Provide guidance on income audit procedures, share best practices, and support knowledge sharing among team members.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in Income Audit, hospitality accounting, revenue accounting, or a similar finance function, preferably within a shared services center, hospitality organization, or multinational company.
  • Strong understanding of revenue auditing, revenue recognition principles, and accounting standards, including GAAP.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP or accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar platforms, as well as Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and other reporting functions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple business functions.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and consistently meet reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
