About Boat Hire Sydney
Boat Hire Sydney is a leading booking agency for private boat charters and events on Sydney Harbour.
We help customers organise birthday parties, corporate events, celebrations and relaxed cruises with family and friends. We do not own the boats ourselves. Instead, we work closely with a large network of trusted boat owners and operators to match customers with the right vessel for their event.
We are a small, established Australian business supported by an experienced team in Cebu.
About the Role
We are looking for a confident and motivated Inbound Sales and Booking Consultant to
join our Cebu team.
The main priority of this role is sales. You will respond to customers who have already contacted us and help them choose and book the most suitable boat for their event.
This is not cold calling or aggressive selling. However, the successful applicant will need to enjoy sales, confidently follow up with customers and have the drive to progress enquiries through to confirmed bookings.
Approximately:
Two-thirds of the role is inbound sales
One-third is basic event coordination
You will receive structured training, support from Reyna and the wider events team, detailed internal resources and access to our AI-assisted booking tools.
No previous boating knowledge is required.
Key Responsibilities

Respond to new customer enquiries by telephone, email and online messaging
Understand each customer's event requirements, budget and preferred date
Recommend suitable available boats from our fleet
Build rapport with customers and confidently guide them towards making a booking
Follow up enquiries consistently and professionally
Work towards individual sales and conversion targets
Maintain excellent customer service without using high-pressure sales techniques
Develop strong working relationships with our boat-owner partners
Booking and Event Coordination
You will also manage the bookings you personally confirm, with support from our experienced events team.
This includes:
Answering customer questions about their boat and event
Confirming important booking details
Managing straightforward change requests
Coordinating matters such as pickup locations, catering choices and guest numbers
Liaising with customers, boat owners and the events team
Ensuring booking information is accurate, complete and properly recorded
Helping make each customer's cruise as smooth and enjoyable as possible
Essential Skills and Experience
Exceptional spoken and written English
A minimum of one year's successful experience in telephone-based sales
Experience working towards sales targets or KPIs
Confidence communicating with Australian customers over the phone
A genuine interest in sales and progressing enquiries into confirmed bookings
Strong customer-service and relationship-building skills
Excellent attention to detail
The ability to follow up customers confidently and consistently
The ability to work effectively in a busy and fast-moving environment
Self-motivation, reliability and a positive attitude
The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Confidence using web-based systems and learning new software
Applicants who have lived in an English-speaking country or who have extensive experience supporting customers from Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States or other English-speaking countries are particularly encouraged to apply.
Experience in events, hospitality, travel or tourism is helpful but not essential.

Following the peak season schedule, hours will reduce and work can be done from home, until the following peak season
The successful applicant will be required to work with Reyna from her home office in Mandaue for the first six months. This is important for training, teamwork and developing a strong understanding of our boats, systems and customers.
Normal travel expenses will not generally be covered, although a travel allowance may be considered by special arrangement for an exceptional applicant.
We would ideally like the successful applicant to return to the Mandaue office during the following busy season, likely from around September for approximately four to five months.
However, this requirement may be waived for someone who has demonstrated that they are highly reliable, trustworthy, self-motivated and successful when working remotely.
Some weekend availability may be required during busy periods
