Role Description The In-house Maintenance team member is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, repair, and safe operation of facilities and equipment at Vikings Group of Companies. This full-time, on-site role is based in Bacolod and involves conducting routine inspections of electrical, mechanical, kitchen, and building systems to identify potential issues early. The role includes performing corrective and preventive maintenance, handling basic troubleshooting, and coordinating with external service providers when specialized repairs are needed. The team member helps ensure that dining areas, back-of-house spaces, and equipment remain clean, functional, and compliant with safety standards. The role also requires keeping maintenance records, responding promptly to service requests from operations, and collaborating with other departments to minimize downtime and support smooth restaurant operations.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and general Maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation of facilities and kitchen equipment.
  • Experience in Preventive Maintenance planning and execution to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.
  • Hands-on Maintenance & Repair capabilities for electrical, mechanical, and basic plumbing issues in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Effective Troubleshooting skills to quickly identify root causes of equipment and building issues and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Previous experience in facilities, building, or restaurant maintenance is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, basic electrical and mechanical systems, and proper use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed, and to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as operations require.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
  • Vocational or technical course in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, or related field is an advantage.
