This role leads the end-to-end import supply planning function, ensuring optimal On-Shelf Availability across a defined portfolio of imported products. The Imports Planning Manager leverages data-driven insights on demand trends and stock movements to develop effective replenishment strategies that balance availability, cost, and inventory health. In addition, this role drives team performance and cross-functional alignment, working closely with key stakeholders to deliver efficient, scalable supply planning solutions across the business.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provide systematic methods and tools to monitor inventory level by using sales trends or historical sales
- Maximize inventory placement, turns, sales and drive customer satisfaction by creating inventory allocation strategies
- Work closely with buyers, promo planning and store teams to make sure all products are available to members/customers at the right time
- Manage the relationship with foreign vendors and the supply planning of their products
- Ensure that the set target goals and plans of management are met by monitoring key metrics and effecting sound decisions to resolve operational issues
- Highlight overstock SKUs and assist in the crafting of strategies to deplete these items
- Manage subordinates in the day-to-day performance of their jobs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Educational Qualifications – Graduate of BS Industrial/ Management Engineering/ BS Logistics and Supply Chain Management or any equivalent degree
- Work Experience – Three (3) to five (5) years of work experience with at least 3 years specializing in Supply and Demand Planning. Relevant background in Import/Export operations is an advantage
- Knowledge and Abilities – The candidate must be knowledgeable in Supply and Demand Planning, Import/ Export Operations. He/ She must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools, SAP ERP and tech savvy in navigating various supply chain tools and platforms
