Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Import Specialist to manage and oversee all import shipment processes under our foreign purchasing section. This role is responsible for handling import documentation, coordinating customs clearance with Philippine Customs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting timely delivery of goods.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, solid knowledge of customs regulations, experience in logistics coordination, and background in the pump and motors industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage all import shipments and related documentation.
  • Review and prepare import documentation for Philippine Customs clearance.
  • Ensure compliance with all customs laws, regulations, and company SOPs.
  • Classify imported products and review customs entries for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, warehouses, carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Monitor incoming shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Compute and analyze import landed costs; support procurement in reducing shipping expenses.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
  • Analyze supplier performance and negotiate rates.
  • Prepare monthly operational reports including timelines, productivity metrics, and cost analysis.
  • Audit vendor invoices and assist with month-end finance processing.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to management.
  • Resolve shipment issues, complaints, and compliance concerns.
  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehousing, and transportation activities.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration or any related field

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in importation, logistics, or customs operations
