Oversees the smooth and efficient handling of all outbound shipments for one of manufacturing plants. Also ensures that inbound shipments are processed accurately and efficiently through the companys in-house customs brokerage system.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Customs Administration or Business Administration
- Licensed Customs Broker
- Minimum 2 years experience in logistics operations
- Knowledge of planning and negotiation
- Proficient in administrative systems, including document and records management
What You'll Be Doing
- Follows up with shipping lines or forwarders on shipment arrival and billing
- Ensures timely application and approval of import permits before vessel arrival
- Prepares and monitors payment requests for shipping, forwarding, and port charges
- Maintains accurate and timely shipment information
- Prepares required documents and processes DO/CRO with shipping lines
- Ensures timely collection of receipts and liquidation of local charges
- Manages requirements and tracking of container deposit refunds
- Ensures timely delivery of shipments
