What does this role entail

The overall objective of the CSO is to assist Financial Advisers in gathering the data required to provide financial planning services to their clients particularly in implementing advice. This includes supporting Advisers with all of the administration assistance they need to provide financial advice in a timely, regulation-compliant manner.

 

What are the proficiencies expected of me

  • At least 2 years of experience in doing advice implementation as a Client Service Officer or as a financial planning assistant
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Client Services Officer/Financial Planning Assistant or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree holder
  • Must be able to understand the recommended strategy 
  • Exceptional Written and Spoken English communication skills
  • Intermediate to Proficient: MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge

 

What are the things expected of me

  • Work with your assigned client as a professional representative of SMSF Paraplanners
  • Ability to implement advice (loading Macquarie and Netwealth transactions; account opening forms)
  • Set up client files 
  • Collect data accurately on behalf of our clients- this may include phoning, investigating online and completing various spreadsheets or forms 
  • Complete comparisons for products such as superannuation, investment and insurance policies 
  • Prepare forms, documents and templates with complete accuracy 
  • Prepare client reports 
  • Data input 
  • Maintain client database through required software 
  • Build solid relationships with each Client assigned to you, continually looking for ways to further assist and help our clients (this may be through new services, better tools, more efficient ways etc.) 

 

How else can I contribute

  • From time to time, we may also ask you to assist with other tasks which may include:
  • Assisting the management team with administrative tasks
  • Assisting the Paraplanners with research as required
