Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Impex Officer to oversee and ensure the smooth, compliant, and efficient execution of all import and export activities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining regulatory compliance, managing external partners, and supporting business operations through effective cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient and compliant execution of all import and export operations in alignment with Philippine customs regulations and applicable government laws.
  • Monitor day-to-day import and export activities, ensuring adherence to company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and oversee external service providers, including 4PL partners, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other contractors, to ensure high service quality and full compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with government agencies involved in cross-border shipments; proactively resolve customs-related issues, delays, or compliance concerns.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, Corporate Affairs, and other business units to establish efficient import/export processes and lanes.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to customs compliance and governance.
  • Ensure all processes are aligned with ISO standards and internal compliance frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration, Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Preferably a Licensed Customs Broker (advantage but not required)
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in import/export operations, customs compliance, or logistics from a principal company or organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine customs regulations, trade compliance, and government processes
  • Experience managing brokers, forwarders, and logistics vendors
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent coordination, assertiveness, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation capabilities
