The Industrial Engineering Supervisor is responsible for developing work measurement for use in improving package job set-ups and operational conditions that reduce cost and meet service commitments. In-charge of audits operating plans and procedure compliance; develops, implements, and assesses package operations long and short-range operating plans based upon work measurement, and assists operators with implementations of improved operating plans, new services, improved procedures, and new technology, provides training, methods, and assistance as needed to support the achievement of the business plan. The IE Supervisor serves as the communications liaison with other functions and coordinates initiatives that impact package operations planning requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develops and Maintains Work Measurement to Optimize Plans
  • Analyzes and Develops Operating Plans
  • Provides Guidance and Support to Improve Operations
  • Conducts Operational Audits, monitors processes to adhere to the operating plans and identify any areas out of compliance for review with the operations management.
  • Conducts Operational Forecasting and reviews and updates forecasts as required to maintain validity of forecast projections and adherence to Business Plan goals.
  • Supervises and develops others and determines employees training needs to produce continuous development plans.
  • Collaborates with Operations and Finance teams on business planning initiatives.
  • Develops and prepares plans for peak seasons and holidays.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering
  • 2 - 3 years industrial engineering related experience preferred.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience with work measurement, process improvement, and operations research.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling (e.g., ROI, IRR).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to supervise staff and collaborate with various teams.
  • Ability to gather requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with distribution environments is beneficial.
