IBM z/OS Systems Administration

Description

We are seeking an experienced IBM z/OS Systems Administrator to join our team in Southeast Asia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IBM z/OS systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of our mainframe environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain IBM z/OS systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Perform system installations, upgrades, and patches for z/OS environments.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployment and system integration.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Implement security measures and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and users.

Skills and Qualifications

• 2-7 years of experience in IBM z/OS systems administration or related field.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS operating system and its components.
• Experience with IBM mainframe hardware and software environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as REXX, JCL, and CLIST.
• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and system automation.
• Understanding of system security principles and practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
