Job Description

Position: Intermediate to Senior Hydraulics Design Engineer

Division: Australia Building Services Division

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Hydraulics Design Engineer to join our Building Services team. You will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality hydraulic systems for a range of building projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, review, and deliver hydraulic systems for building projects, including:
  • Cold and hot water systems
  • Stormwater drainage and vent systems
  • Rainwater recycling, trade waste, and gas systems
  • Prepare detailed design drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure design compliance with standards and client requirements
  • Conduct hydraulic calculations, load assessments, and system simulations
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance as required

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hydraulics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 710 years of experience in hydraulic design for building projects
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, drainage, venting, and water services
  • Familiarity with rainwater recycling, trade waste systems, and gas systems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
