Creates and QC digital artwork, following client and printer guidelines. Able to follow standard packaging requirements, and apply technical specifications / die lines etc;
Applies and checks printer specifications, such as overprint, knockout, min dot, BWR;
Creates separations, remapping of colours to proper separations, trapping, overprinting, knockouts, imposition, bleeding and/or colour correction, which require making independent decisions regarding line screen and compensation curves using given parameters;
Utilizes knowledge and understanding of the pre-press and printing capabilities of equipment, determines style, technique, and medium best suited to produce desired effects;
Discusses graphics at various stages of completion and makes changes as necessary to ensure designs meet printer requirements and approval;
Completes Preflight activities the process of reviewing digital files to insure the print readiness of the file;
QC all work performed following the department's SOPs. Check, sign-off, and date checklists;
Manages and accepts responsibility on a daily basis for all assigned personnel as they perform production-related tasks;
Supports to develop and implement training programs to upgrade the skills of department associates, particularly those in entry-level positions;
Supports and determines staffing requirements weekly and re-deploy resources during the week as needed to address any shifting manning needs or changes in priorities and scheduling;
Smooth execution throughout the project and to ensure that work is delivered against the communication objectives and graphics parameters;
Analyses client's needs and expectations, communicate the client's needs and expectations to the relevant departments to ensure team can seamless meet and satisfy them;
Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to the production process and wider.
