Work Arrangement: Work From Office

Location: Philippines - Ortigas

Schedule: Morning shift

Job description:

Technical Support & Engineering:

  • Assist HVAC engineers in the development, selection, and evaluation of mechanical components and parts.
  • Research and recommend equivalent or replacement parts based on availability, specifications, and system compatibility.
  • Develop and update parts catalogs, technical data sheets, and engineering documentation.
  • Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, technical specifications, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Provide technical reviews on project requirements and identify equivalent equipment options from multiple brands in the market.

Parts Sourcing & Inventory Management:

  • Coordinate with purchasing and suppliers to verify part availability, pricing, lead times, and alternatives.
  • Maintain detailed records of part usage, revisions, and manufacturer updates.
  • Evaluate new parts or vendor offerings and provide engineering insight on fit, form, and function.
  • Prepare recommended parts-to-order lists for newly introduced product lines based on factory parts data, customer demand history, and warranty trends to maintain parts available for immediate fulfillment.
  • Manage vendor Free-of-Charge (FOC) parts allowances and consolidate spare-parts orders with main equipment shipments to optimize freight cost.
  • Create, maintain, and standardize parts item codes for all active product lines.
  • Conduct regular digital inventory audits, reconciling system records against shipment packing lists, vendor invoices, and confirmed receipts from the on-site parts team.
  • Coordinate periodic cycle counts with the on-site parts team, investigate variances, and post corrections so the digital inventory reflects actual stock on hand.
  • Establish and maintain min/max stock levels for high-volume and warranty-critical parts; flag low-stock items proactively for replenishment.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

  • Assist in the testing and validation of parts and sub-assemblies to ensure they meet performance and quality standards.
  • Document performance issues and failures, providing feedback to engineering or the vendor for corrective action.
  • Support quality control and reliability initiatives related to HVAC components

Field & Maintenance Support:

  • Provide remote technical guidance to HVAC technicians on installation, configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and warranty resolution for HVAC & Appliance components and systems.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of recurring parts failures and develop recommendations for improvements.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for internal sales teams on spec sheet requests, submittals, manuals, parts lists, and product compatibility questions.
  • Customize vendor-supplied technical documents to internal branding standards before release to customers.
  • Coordinate parts pricing requests between vendors, internal pricing teams, and field sales staff.
  • Provide technical reviews and equipment selection support for active project bids, including verification against project specifications and applicable standards.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Ensure all parts-related documentation complies with company standards and regulatory requirements (ASHRAE, EPA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate bills of materials (BOMs) and configuration management records.
  • Document testing procedures, results, and product specifications in accordance with company standards.

Non-negotiable skills and requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC Technology, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in HVAC systems, parts management, or mechanical engineering support.
  • Experience with commercial or industrial HVAC and appliance systems preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Split Systems, VRF, Chillers, Appliances, parts expertise, diagnostics, HVAC design and analysis
  • Software & Tools: Google Workspace, MS Office, QuickBooks, inventory systems, project management software, vendor portals, AutoCAD
