Department Human Resources

Location BGC, Taguig

Work Model WFO 100% On-Site

Shift Type EST hours-Night Shifts (should be flexible on some days to adjust timing for any government-mandated processing).

Role Summary:

The HR Specialist is responsible for administering employee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring accurate timekeeping and payroll inputs, and maintaining compliance with Philippine labor laws. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, statutory compliance, and positive employee experience related to compensation and benefits.

Education level required:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • 24 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits and timekeeping/payroll administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and statutory requirements (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR).
  • Experience handling payroll systems and timekeeping tools.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Responsibilities:

Compensation & Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee compensation and benefits programs in line with company policies.
  • Ensure accurate payroll inputs including salary adjustments, allowances, overtime, incentives, and deductions.
  • Manage statutory contributions and compliance including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR requirements.
  • Coordinate with payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Handle benefits enrollment, updates, and employee queries (HMO, insurance, government benefits, leaves).
  • Monitor and reconcile government remittances and mandatory reporting.
  • Support annual salary review, bonus processing, and benefits renewal activities.

Timekeeping Management

  • Monitor and validate employee attendance, work hours, overtime, holiday pay, and leave records.
  • Ensure accuracy of timekeeping records prior to payroll cut-off.
  • Coordinate with department heads for attendance discrepancies and approvals.
  • Maintain leave records and ensure proper documentation.
  • Generate timekeeping and payroll-related reports as needed.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with Philippine Labor Code and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare government-mandated reports and documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits related to payroll and benefits.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.

Employee Support

  • Address employee concerns related to payroll, benefits, and timekeeping.
  • Provide guidance on company compensation and benefits policies.
  • Support HR initiatives and projects assigned.

201 File Management

  • Maintain and organize employee 201 files, ensuring all required documents are complete and updated.
  • Ensure proper filing of employment contracts, government forms, disciplinary records, and other employment-related documents.
  • Safeguard confidentiality and proper documentation in accordance with company policies and data privacy regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in IT industry is an advantage.
  • Experience working with HRIS and payroll software.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end payroll processing.
