Role Summary:
The HR Specialist is responsible for administering employee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring accurate timekeeping and payroll inputs, and maintaining compliance with Philippine labor laws. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, statutory compliance, and positive employee experience related to compensation and benefits.
Education level required:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
- 24 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits and timekeeping/payroll administration.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and statutory requirements (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR).
- Experience handling payroll systems and timekeeping tools.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Responsibilities:
Compensation & Benefits Administration
- Administer employee compensation and benefits programs in line with company policies.
- Ensure accurate payroll inputs including salary adjustments, allowances, overtime, incentives, and deductions.
- Manage statutory contributions and compliance including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR requirements.
- Coordinate with payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Handle benefits enrollment, updates, and employee queries (HMO, insurance, government benefits, leaves).
- Monitor and reconcile government remittances and mandatory reporting.
- Support annual salary review, bonus processing, and benefits renewal activities.
Timekeeping Management
- Monitor and validate employee attendance, work hours, overtime, holiday pay, and leave records.
- Ensure accuracy of timekeeping records prior to payroll cut-off.
- Coordinate with department heads for attendance discrepancies and approvals.
- Maintain leave records and ensure proper documentation.
- Generate timekeeping and payroll-related reports as needed.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with Philippine Labor Code and statutory requirements.
- Prepare government-mandated reports and documentation.
- Support internal and external audits related to payroll and benefits.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
Employee Support
- Address employee concerns related to payroll, benefits, and timekeeping.
- Provide guidance on company compensation and benefits policies.
- Support HR initiatives and projects assigned.
201 File Management
- Maintain and organize employee 201 files, ensuring all required documents are complete and updated.
- Ensure proper filing of employment contracts, government forms, disciplinary records, and other employment-related documents.
- Safeguard confidentiality and proper documentation in accordance with company policies and data privacy regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in IT industry is an advantage.
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll software.
- Knowledge of end-to-end payroll processing.
