HR Manager
Job Summary
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day Human Resources operations and ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies, processes, and programs. The role supervises HR staff and supports management in maintaining employee relations, labor compliance, workforce requirements, and overall HR operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide the HR team in the execution of daily HR operations and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment, including manpower requisitions, sourcing, screening, interviews, job offers, pre-employment requirements, onboarding, and regularization.
- Monitor employee attendance, timekeeping, leaves, overtime, schedules, and other payroll-related inputs and ensure accuracy before payroll processing.
- Oversee compensation and benefits administration, including government-mandated benefits, HMO, employee loans, and other company benefits.
- Handle employee relations and disciplinary cases, including investigation, documentation, issuance of NTEs and disciplinary notices, and observance of due process.
- Ensure compliance with the Philippine Labor Code, DOLE regulations, government requirements, and company policies.
- Manage employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, probationary evaluation, regularization, transfers, promotions, and offboarding.
- Coordinate and monitor performance evaluations and ensure managers complete employee assessments within established timelines.
- Support employee engagement, training, organizational development, and culture-building initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and updated 201 files, employee records, HRIS data, contracts, and other HR documentation.
- Prepare and analyze HR reports such as headcount, recruitment status, attrition, attendance, employee movement, and other HR metrics.
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies, procedures, and process improvements.
- Coach HR team members and promote accountability, collaboration, proactive problem-solving, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Partner with department heads and managers in resolving manpower and employee-related concerns.
- Escalate significant employee relations, compliance, and organizational concerns to the HR Manager.
- Perform other HR-related duties and projects that may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
- At least 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably with experience as an HR Generalist or handling multiple HR functions.
- At least 1 year of supervisory/team leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Philippine labor laws, DOLE requirements, and HR best practices.
- Hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, compensation & benefits, performance management, and HR operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and HRIS systems.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make sound recommendations to management.
- Must be proactive and solutions-oriented, with the ability to identify process gaps and recommend improvements rather than simply execute assigned tasks.
