Job Description
ABOUT POWERHOUSE
Powerhouse Innovations Inc. is a technology-first company, built for the mass market electricity consumers to switch directly to a retail electricity supplier (RES) and access cheaper generation rates.
Through our platform, we enable all end-users to become eligible even if they do not meet the existing threshold (currently at 100kW, or equivalent to a 350,000 monthly bill) and simplify the switching process. We are part of the AboitizPower group, the Philippines largest energy producer based on installed capacity, through its wholly-owned corporate venture studio, 1882 Energy Ventures Incorporated.
THE ROLE
The Human Resources Manager leads the human resources function of Powerhouse Innovations Inc., a venture-stage company within the AboitizPower group. The position serves as the principal human resources point of contact for the organization and works in coordination with group-level human resources teams and platforms.
This is a generalist role spanning talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and people operations. The incumbent is expected to deliver directly across each of these areas and to support organizational planning alongside the President and Chief Executive Officer.
The position calls for an individual capable of operating at the pace of an early-stage business while working effectively within the governance and process requirements of an established organization.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Talent acquisition. Manage recruitment from requisition to offer across all functions, including role definition with hiring managers, sourcing, assessment, selection, and offer management, in accordance with applicable approval requirements.
- On-boarding. Design and administer on-boarding programs that enable new employees to become effective within their first week of service.
- Performance management. Administer the goal-setting and performance review cycle, advise managers on the conduct of performance discussions, and ensure consistent application of evaluation standards across the organization.
- Employee relations. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, manage the resolution of cases, and maintain a constructive working environment consistent with company policy.
- People operations. Administer employee records, movements, leave, and documentation, and ensure that employee transactions are processed accurately and within prescribed timelines.
- Coordination with group functions. Act as the principal liaison to AboitizPower group human resources on compensation and benefits, systems administration, and policy matters affecting Powerhouse personnel.
- Organizational planning. Support the President and Chief Executive Officer on organizational design, headcount planning, and workforce requirements arising from business growth.
- Compliance. Ensure adherence to Philippine labor law, statutory requirements, and applicable company policy, and escalate matters requiring resolution.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

- Organizational and headcount planning supported by reliable workforce data.
