About PCX

PCX is accelerating the transition to a circular economy and building a future where no plastic ends up in nature. The origin story of PCX begins in one of the epicenters of the plastic pollution crisis, the Philippines, with the mission to take responsibility for plastic waste.

The non-profit organization PCX Solutions is working with governments around the world on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes to boldly tackle the plastic issue upstream and downstream. We are helping the corporate sector to understand its plastic footprint, to implement reduction strategies and to comply with existing and upcoming legislation. It also manages and safeguards a fully transparent, third-party audited Plastic Pollution Reduction Standard to ensure the impact and responsibility of plastic waste projects.

About the Role:

This role will lead on HR and administrative matters and report directly to the Managing Director. This role will ensure the implementation of HR policies, managing HR operations and hiring processes, coordinating employee access to tools, preparing payroll instructions, and supporting general office administration to help ensure smooth business operations. The role may also support the Managing Director and the team in special projects and tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Operations & Administration

  • Ensure the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and HR documents and manage other administrative HR tasks.
  • Partner with Legal on compliance documentations in line with local labor laws and regulations.

Talent Coordination & Employee Support

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Support performance review scheduling and documentation.
  • Help plan and coordinate employee training and engagement initiatives.
  • Respond to general employee HR-related queries and escalate issues as needed.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with a network of freelancers.

Payroll & Compensation Support

  • Prepare and consolidate payroll data and coordinate with Finance for timely processing.
  • Maintain and update compensation and benefit records, including monthly record generation for Government Mandatories

Tool Access & Account Management

  • Manage user accounts and access to tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom).
  • Maintain accurate records of licenses and subscriptions.
  • Support the team in tool usage and workflows, especially on Asana
  • Help explore new AI tools, including risks and opportunities

Administrative & Office Support

  • Assist in overseeing day-to-day office operations and administration.
  • Help coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and facility services when necessary.
  • Support on project management, meetings, events, and communication where needed.
  • Maintain internal documentation and support the implementation of administrative systems and processes, including the inventory.
  • Support the Managing Director in special projects and tasks.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in an HR or administrative support role.
  • Prior experience in an NGO and/or on Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) is a big plus

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar), MS Office, and basic familiarity with project management or payroll systems.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A proactive, service-oriented mindset with a willingness to take on varied tasks.

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR compliance standards is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, Asana or similar platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and across different levels.

Work Arrangement- Hybrid:

This role offers a hybrid model, combining the flexibility of remote work with weekly office presence in BGC Manila for team integration. It involves in-person meetings and occasional events. The nature of our global team will require you to participate in early morning or evening meetings from time to time.
