Job Description
The HR Director is responsible for leading the People & Culture function of SHG, ensuring that people strategies are aligned with business goals across all brands. This role drives talent management, employee engagement and retention, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, culture, and HR governance to build a capable and engaged workforce that supports SHG's continued growth.
YOUR ROLE
- Shape the People Strategy — align HR priorities with SHG's business direction, growth plans, and organizational needs.
- Build a stronger talent pipeline — develop succession plans, leadership capabilities, and career opportunities across the organization.
- Drive retention and engagement — understand what matters to our people, identify the real drivers of attrition, and create programs that make employees want to stay and grow with SHG.
- Strengthen our culture — bring our values, Founder's Mentality, and hospitality mindset to life through practical people programs and leadership behaviors.
- Build organizational capability — develop programs that equip leaders and employees with the skills needed for a fast-growing, multi-brand business.
- Use data to drive decisions — turn engagement, attrition, workforce, and talent data into clear insights and actions for the business.
- Lead organizational effectiveness and change — continuously improve structures, processes, and ways of working as SHG evolves.
- Partner with the business and stay close to the ground — understand the realities of our stores, commissaries, and corporate teams and ensure HR solutions are practical, relevant, and accessible.
- Strengthen HR governance — ensure sound labor relations, compliance, policies, and HR practices while maintaining a positive employee experience.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 15–20 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 10 years in a senior HR leadership role.
- Strong experience in HR Business Partnering, Talent Management, Organization Development, Employee Engagement, and Leadership Development.
- Proven track record in building and executing people strategies, not just managing HR operations.
- Experience managing multi-site, multi-brand, or fast-paced organizations - QSR or Casual Dining Restaurants, Food Manufacturing, or Food Retail is an advantage.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to connect people initiatives to business outcomes.
- Strong executive presence, influencing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Data-driven and comfortable using HR analytics to identify problems and measure impact.
- Most importantly, someone who is strategic but grounded—a leader who can engage executives while remaining connected and accessible to employees on the ground.
