Job Description

Evergreen Labs, a pioneer in innovative and sustainable solutions helping build a world where people & the environment live as one circular and balanced system, is expanding its team in the Philippines. As our operations, projects, and teams continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Human Resource Officer to support our Manila-based team in all HR-related functions.

This role is critical in ensuring smooth HR operations, supporting staff welfare, and maintaining compliance with local labor regulations while fostering a positive, mission-driven work environment.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Mandaluyong City.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and HR documentation in compliance with Philippine labor requirements.
  • Manage daily HR operations, including attendance monitoring, leave management, performance records, and HR databases.
  • Ensure compliance with DOLE regulations, statutory requirements, and internal company policies.
  • Facilitate new employee orientation and support probationary and annual performance evaluation cycles.
  • Assist in developing and improving HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
  • Handle employee relations matters professionally, addressing queries, concerns, and needed interventions while escalating critical issues to management.
  • Coordinate company benefits, government contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG), and relevant employee paperwork.
  • Support payroll preparation by consolidating attendance, leave reports, and other HR inputs needed for payroll processing.
  • Plan and organize internal activities, including trainings, staff development sessions, company events, and team-building activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure responsible handling of sensitive employee information.
  • Provide HR support for project-related needs, organizational development tasks, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Perform other HR and administrative/office duties as needed to support the team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources or HR coordination.
  • Strong understanding of Philippine labor law, employee relations, recruitment processes, and HR documentation requirements.
  • Experience managing HR systems, performance evaluations, and compliance documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Skilled in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and HR tools or platforms.
  • Professional, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
