Job Description

Position Summary:

The HR Business Partner supports the company's strategic goals and improving business performance, with overall responsibility for being the primary HR point of contact for select Functional Tower Leads within the company in partnership with the Human Resources Vice President. Key activities include implementing workforce strategy and policies, managing employee relations, redeploying and retiring employees, and managing and delivering employee communications. Reports to the Human Resources Vice President, assists and advises leadership on functional tower HR issues, and coordinates with relevant stakeholders such as Functional Tower Leads and Human Resources Vice President.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of a company strategy for the human resources function. Help supervise and enhance the strategies, plans, and policies supporting the human resources function
  • Define and oversee all functional tower HR activities and determine the authority/responsibility of the human resources department and line management within those processes. Activities include:
  • Help develop and implement workforce strategy and policies. Help create and execute strategies and policies for smooth administration of the workforce. Help determine and gather skill requirements. Plan the requirements for employee resourcing per unit. Help create compensation, succession, HR program, and employee diversity plans. Help develop and administer policies for HR. Help develop benefits for employees. Help create models for workforce strategies
  • Manage employee relations. Assisting general management in developing, maintaining, and improving employee relationships. This is accomplished through communication, performance management, processing grievances, and/or disputes. Interpret and convey organizational policies
  • Redeploy and retire employees. Managing the reassignment and retirement of employees. Manage the process of employee promotion and demotion. Administer separation, retirement, and leaves of absence. Outplace employees. Deploy personnel. Relocate employees in order to manage assignments
  • Manage and deliver employee communications. Creating an effective plan that initiates and promotes communication and engagement among the employees and between employees and management
  • Develop and drive organizational effectiveness and support the company on all major initiatives
  • Manage, lead, and direct all functional tower HR activities
