Job Purpose
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a trusted HR partner to the Principals, Country Director, and School Management for the International Schools under Global Schools Group (GSG) in the Philippines. The role is responsible for delivering strategic and operational HR support, fostering a positive employee experience, ensuring compliance with Philippine employment laws and regulations, and aligning people strategies with the organisation's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
- Partner with the Principals, Country Director, and School Management on all HR-related matters.
- Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, learning and development, employee engagement, succession planning, and offboarding.
- Ensure all employment practices comply with Philippine labour laws, statutory requirements, and government regulations.
- Oversee all employment-related documentation and statutory requirements, ensuring timely compliance with applicable government agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, and initiatives, ensuring alignment with Group HR policies and business objectives.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and oversee the Group Employee Engagement Survey across all campuses, including action planning and implementation.
- Plan and execute employee engagement and wellbeing programmes to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Manage the annual performance management cycle, partnering with Corporate HR to ensure timely completion, consistency, and quality across all campuses.
- Lead the annual performance calibration and normalisation process in collaboration with Principals and business leaders, presenting recommendations to Management.
- Administer employee reward and recognition programmes.
- Maintain up-to-date HR policies and ensure ongoing compliance with employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, employment regulations, and internal governance standards.
- Lead internal and external HR audits by maintaining comprehensive HR documentation, records, policies, and processes.
Financial Management
- Manage HR operations to achieve agreed service delivery and operational performance metrics.
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
- Partner with the Country Director and Finance Controller to prepare annual manpower budgets and employee-related cost forecasts.
- Monitor manpower costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets while identifying opportunities for cost optimisation.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Partner closely with Talent Acquisition teams and hiring managers to support workforce planning and recruitment requirements.
- Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, orientation, and induction activities across all campuses.
- Collaborate with Corporate HR on strategic HR initiatives and Group-wide projects.
- Work closely with the Learning & Development team to identify capability gaps, promote learning initiatives, and support organisational development.
- Provide guidance and resolution for complex employee relations matters and HR queries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, government agencies, and external partners to stay informed of employment trends, legislative changes, and market developments.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to develop proactive talent pipelines and strengthen organisational capability through effective workforce planning and recruitment strategies.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification or MBA in Human Resource Management is preferred.
Experience
- 12–15 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with at least 5–7 years in an HR Business Partner or HR leadership role.
- Experience in the education sector or a multi-campus organisation is preferred.
- Proven experience leading and developing HR teams.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labour laws, employment regulations, statutory compliance, and HR best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance strategic HR partnering with operational execution.
