NUH Internship Programme (Jan 2027 – Jun 2027)
Curious about the inner workings of a hospital Join NUH on a 6-month full time internship to gain a comprehensive understanding of the operational aspects of healthcare organisations. Job scope
1) HR operations – Clinical Fellowships:
- Assist in collecting and organizing various documents required for fellowship applications
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of submitted documents
- Flag incomplete or inconsistent applications for further review
- Respond to basic inquiries, under supervision, about the program application or renewal, from the departments
- Generate reports on application statistics if needed
- Support other operation tasks related to the fellowship program as assigned.
2) Promotion – Learn to manage timelines and understand what it takes for a promotion
- Collate the appraisal returns and monitor adherence to promotion requirements.
- Organise pre-moderation and moderation meetings
- Obtain and prepare staff's information prior to pre-moderation/moderation meetings with trend analysis
- Document action plans and assessment outcome for staff
- Manage the appeal process and close the loop for appeals
3) Total Performance Management – Understand how performance assessment of clinicians are being managed
- Collate the appraisal returns and monitor adherence to performance management requirements.
- Organise pre-moderation and moderation meetings
- Obtain and prepare staff's information prior to pre-moderation/moderation meetings with trend analysis
- Document action plans and assessment outcome for staff
- Manage the appeal process and close the loop for appeals
4) Awards Management:
- Assist in the administration of employee recognition and award programs
- Help coordinate award ceremonies and events
- Support the nomination and selection process for various awards
- Assist in creating and distributing award communications
- Support the development of new award initiatives
5) CMB Engagement:
- Assist with new staff orientations and engagement sessions
- Prepare welcome materials and liaising with new hires
- Collect and analyze feedback from new hires
- Support onboarding processes and mentorship programs
6) Billing:
- Support the HR team in processing payroll and benefits documentation
- Assist in maintaining and updating employee records in HR databases
- Assist with data entry for benefits administration and related billing
- Support the processing of employee expense reports and reimbursements
- Help gather information for HR budget preparation
- Assist in organizing documents for HR-related financial audits
