Role Description The Hub Agent is a full-time, on-site role based in Manila, responsible for coordinating port calls and ensuring smooth service delivery across the global port network. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring vessel schedules, communicating with local port agents and customers, and updating internal systems with accurate operational data. The role also involves preparing and reviewing documentation, tracking service progress, and escalating issues to ensure timely resolution. The Hub Agent collaborates closely with internal teams to maintain service consistency, support logistics arrangements, and uphold company standards for safety, compliance, and customer experience.
Qualifications
- Experience in port operations, shipping, or logistics coordination, with a strong understanding of vessel schedules and port procedures.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and internal systems for data entry, documentation, and tracking operational activities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with global stakeholders and local port partners.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, including attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple port calls simultaneously.
- Ability to work in an on-site team environment in Manila, demonstrating reliability, adaptability, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Relevant academic background in maritime studies, business, logistics, or a related field is beneficial.
- Previous experience in a hub, agency, or operations support role within the maritime sector is an advantage.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are considered a plus.
