Key Responsibilities
- To ensure the project is legally compliant with all health and safety legislation
- To assist and collaborate with other HSE representatives of the Project Stakeholders.
- To implement and maintain an environment health safety program involving hazard identification evaluation and control, accident/injury prevention, hazardous material/waste management, emergency preparedness, fire/life safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulatory compliance.
- Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
- To plan, implement, and conduct preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
- To plan, implement, manage, and maintain comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations.
- Provides project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirm project site fulfils guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence.
- Develops and maintains project environmental health and safety program
- Reports the status of projects with regards to health and safety
- Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence.
Recommended Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- HSE qualifications with minimum of 3 years experience undertaking HSE related inspections and audits on construction sites.
- Preferably with experience in coastal and infrastructure related works.
