Our Construction Phase Services group is looking for Site HSE Officers that will help proper implementation of the project HSE Plans and provide HSE information and advice to the workers and other professionals assigned in the project. Select safe construction methodologies and strategies in collaboration with engineers and other construction specialists. Instruct and supervise construction workers and activities onsite to ensure compliance to safety codes, legal requirements and other regulations

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the HSE compliance of the project site, including client operations, contractor and visitors.
  • Attend to any safety related briefings, meeting and trainings. Chair or present as required.
  • Review and recommend changes to any relevant HSE plans submitted by the subcontractor.
  • Review and recommend changes to training plan and materials submitted by contractor.
  • Develop training materials and carry out HSE training (where required).
  • monitor contractor's submission and acquisition for DOLE approved Construction Safety Plan (CSP).
  • Carry out daily HSE site inspections. Provide a daily report on the site HSE activities in the agreed format and submit for review and filing on a daily basis
  • Carry out incident investigation along with client and subcontractor.
  • Support the project in any HSE related activities.
  • Recommend any HSE related activities that may be beneficial to the project.
  • Manage, promptly administer and resolve all HSE concerns. Coordinate and report daily to the direct senior manager
  • Carry out audits on the Contractors approved HSE systems.
  • Provide support for all weekly and monthly reporting to Senior Management or Client.
  • Initiate and coordinate site safety walks with the contractor and client as required. Provide minutes and reports as required.
  • Promptly align themselves with GHD's training requirements, HSE online documentation/standards and initiate a culture of continuous learning

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level

Experience

  • Established 10+ years HSE experience in the engineering construction works.
  • Knowledge of the requirements of the Philippine authorities for construction works and permits necessary for construction activities
  • Formal qualifications in Safety Practice i.e. SO3 accredited by DOLE
  • Focus on client service in terms of project safety

This job offer is project contract to be based onsite.
