About the Role: The Senior HRIS Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing HRIS systems to ensure stability, scalability, and alignment with business needs. This role will lead the design and implementation of automation solutions, integrations, and reporting capabilities across platforms in Workday HCM.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience working with HRIS systems, with expertise in Workday HCM configuration, automation, integration, and reporting.
- Workday HCM expertise is required, including hands-on experience with for example Workday Studio, Extend, EIBs, Core Connectors, and APIs.
- Experience in HRIS system administration and optimization, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and compliance.
- Experience with iPaaS tools like Workato or other integration platforms is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to troubleshoot technical issues and improve system performance.
- Skilled in translating business needs into technical solutions and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Experience in a fast-paced SaaS environment is preferred.
- Workday certification and a degree in Information Systems or a related field are highly preferred.
- Experience with Japanese culture.
- Experience with Japanese Management methodologies, like kaizen, KJ methodology, etc.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience configuring and optimizing enterprise HRIS platforms (especially Workday HCM).
- Strong understanding of HR operations, business process mapping, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and align system configuration with strategic objectives.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with iPaaS tools like Workato or other integration platforms.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute configuration of business processes within the HRIS platform (Workday HCM) to support project requirements and business objectives.
- Collaborate with business owners and process experts to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement system changes.
- Support and streamline integrations between the HRIS and third-party tools, ensuring accurate and efficient data flow.
- Build and maintain complex HRIS reports for executives and functional teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and user experience.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to team members and business users.
- Ensure system stability, scalability, and compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements.
- Lead testing, validation, and documentation of configured business processes and system.
