Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary HRIS administrator and core HR Generalist, overseeing system configuration, data integrity, and reporting, with a strong focus on US benefits and leave integration.
  • Manage and optimize HRIS modules for employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, retirement plans, wellness initiatives) and lead the technical setup for annual open enrollment, life events, and system-driven employee communications.
  • Leverage HRIS data and analytics to ensure strict compliance with US federal and state employment regulations, preparing required compliance reporting and system audits (e.g., ACA, EEO-1, ERISA).
  • Configure and manage leave administration workflows within the HRIS for FMLA, ADA accommodations, short-term/long-term disability, and statutory state leaves.
  • Partner closely with Payroll and IT to manage automated system integrations, accurate deduction tracking, data syncs, and vendor file feeds (EDI).
  • Act as the subject matter expert on HRIS workflows, US benefits, and leave policies, troubleshooting system issues and resolving data discrepancies with third-party vendors and brokers.
  • Provide generalist HR support across onboarding, offboarding, policy implementation, and manager coaching, utilizing the HRIS to streamline the employee lifecycle.
  • Develop, audit, and improve HR processes, creating system documentation, user guides, and training materials for managers and employees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–3 years of HR experience, with a proven track record of hands-on HRIS administration (e.g., Workday, ADP, UKG, BambooHR) alongside US benefits management.
  • Strong working knowledge of US labor laws and compliance regulations, including FLSA, ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and ADA, and how they govern HR system workflows.
  • Proven technical experience managing HR data reporting, system audits, and integrations with benefits vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with high proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and HRIS reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical HRIS processes into user-friendly guidance.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain strict data confidentiality, and manage multiple system priorities in a fast-paced environment.
