The HR Supervisor manages the day-to-day HR functions in retail settings, including recruitment, employee relations, training, compliance, and documentation. They act as a bridge between store operations and HR management, ensuring that manpower requirements are met while maintaining compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Staffing
- Oversee hiring for store associates, supervisors, and warehouse staff.
- Coordinate with store managers to forecast manpower needs, especially during peak seasons.
- Manage onboarding and orientation programs.
Employee Relations
- Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and workplace concerns.
- Promote employee engagement and retention initiatives.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, company policies, and audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR reports.
Training & Development
- Supervise onboarding and training programs for new hires.
- Support skill development and performance improvement initiatives.
Performance Management
- Assist managers in evaluating employee performance.
- Implement corrective actions and improvement plans when necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or Business Administration.
- Experience: 35 years in HR, preferably in retail or high-volume industries.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of HRIS/ATS systems, payroll, and labor law compliance.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and multitasking abilities.
