Job Description

The HR Supervisor manages the day-to-day HR functions in retail settings, including recruitment, employee relations, training, compliance, and documentation. They act as a bridge between store operations and HR management, ensuring that manpower requirements are met while maintaining compliance with labor laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Staffing

  • Oversee hiring for store associates, supervisors, and warehouse staff.
  • Coordinate with store managers to forecast manpower needs, especially during peak seasons.
  • Manage onboarding and orientation programs.

Employee Relations

  • Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and workplace concerns.
  • Promote employee engagement and retention initiatives.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, company policies, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR reports.

Training & Development

  • Supervise onboarding and training programs for new hires.
  • Support skill development and performance improvement initiatives.

Performance Management

  • Assist managers in evaluating employee performance.
  • Implement corrective actions and improvement plans when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or Business Administration.
  • Experience: 35 years in HR, preferably in retail or high-volume industries.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of HRIS/ATS systems, payroll, and labor law compliance.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and multitasking abilities.
