Job Description

The HR Specialist will support core HR administrative functions with a strong focus on benefits administration, process coordination, and operational support. This role ensures accurate employee records, smooth benefits processing, effective communication workflows, and welldocumented procedures. The ideal candidate is detailoriented, adaptable, and capable of balancing HR tasks with content coordination and executive support as needed.

The HR Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  • Benefits Administration
  • Track and process benefits tasks for new hires, employee changes, and terminations across the agency management system, benefits administration system, and insurance carrier platforms.
  • Audit employee enrollments, including updates resulting from life changes and open enrollment cycles, ensuring accuracy and compliance in carrier systems.
  • Content & Communication Support
  • Assist in creating and maintaining content timelines for website updates, LinkedIn articles, and blog posts.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely content delivery and accurate messaging.
  • Process Documentation & Improvement
  • Support the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to assigned HR and administrative responsibilities.
  • Assist in managing and developing internal resources that enhance workflow efficiency and optimize processes.
  • Administrative & Executive Support
  • Provide assistance with email organization, task tracking, and prioritization.
  • Support scheduling activities and perform other executive assistantrelated tasks as required.

Required Skillset & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in benefits administration, HR operations, content management, or related administrative functions.
  • Strong organizational, timemanagement, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within crossfunctional teams.
  • Proficiency with agency management systems, benefits admin systems, and insurance carrier platforms (preferred).
  • Familiarity with website content, blog writing, or social media coordination considered an advantage.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and effective problemsolving capabilities.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to improve processes, maintain documentation, and support evolving organizational needs.
  • Can work on a US schedule (nighshift)
