Main Responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll and statutory processing of all PH employees in a timely and accurate manner that includes calculation of overtime, bonuses, and other pay elements applicable to PH.
- Perform payroll reconciliation, payment, and reporting of monthly statutory remittances, and year-end tax activities and remittances in accordance with the local statutory laws and company policies
- Coordinate with Finance Department to ensure payroll funding is in place in relation to payroll and statutory payments.
- Regularly review the websites of PH-DOLE, SSS, PHIC, BIR, and HDMF on a weekly/monthly basis to make sure the company is aware of any changes in the law and guidelines which impact employee compensation and benefits.
- Analyze, calculate, and determine appropriate approach on regular and final payouts in accordance with PH regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure proper and timely payroll processing using internal HR and Payroll systems.
- Maintain an organized, efficient, and updated records/filing system of all payroll records, both electronic and printed copies.
- Identify and propose solutions for process improvements.
- Manage payroll workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed timely and accurately
- Update payroll work instructions on a regular basis and as needed.
- Manage and attend all payroll and statutory-related queries of employees via MS Teams, emails, and meetings.
- Compile key operational payroll metrics & dashboards
- Complete payroll audit checklist and support audit activities by providing the needed payroll documents to auditors.
- Assist APAC special payroll activities and projects, as needed.
Experience Needed For This Role
- Proven experience in Payroll and/or HR Payroll
- Experience with APAC Payroll and statutory benefits
- Experience in using an HR system or any HR/Payroll software
- Proficiency with MS Office Word and Excel software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high-level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure and minimal supervision
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to timely and professionally respond to internal and external queries
Desirable
- Experience processing payroll in Workday or similar HRIS systems is a plus
