HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
Job Summary: The Human Resources Officer is responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR operations, with a strong focus on talent acquisition, employee and labor relations, organizational development, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, and overall HR administration.
Working closely with the HR Manager, the HR Officer plays a critical role in implementing HR strategies and initiatives that cultivate a positive, engaged, and high-performing workplace aligned with the organization's goals and strategic direction.
Talent Acquisition
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job description development, job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, and onboarding.
- Partner with department heads to understand workforce requirements and ensure timely hiring of qualified candidates.
- Enhance employer branding and candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
Employee and Labor Relations
- Address employee concerns and grievances promptly and professionally.
- Manage disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policies and labor laws.
- Provide guidance and counseling to employees and managers on workplace matters.
- Represent HR in administrative and labor hearings when required.
Training and Development
- Facilitate end-to-end Training and Development (T&D) programs across all organizational levels, from needs analysis to post-training evaluation.
- Conduct training needs assessments in collaboration with department heads.
- Coordinate internal and external training programs, workshops, and seminars.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives to ensure continuous improvement.
Organizational Development
- Align organizational structure and development initiatives with management direction and business strategy.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Research, design, and recommend employee development programs aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide strategic HR support in workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.
- Support change management initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure HR policies and practices comply with company standards and applicable labor regulations.
- Assist in performance management, employee engagement programs, and other HR initiatives as needed.
HR Reporting and Analytics
- Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data and metrics, including time-to-hire, turnover rates, and employee engagement indicators.
- Prepare HR reports to support data-driven decision-making.
Performance Management
- Administer and monitor the performance appraisal process.
- Evaluate performance results and provide recommendations for improvement and development.
- Conduct employee counseling sessions focused on performance enhancement and capability building.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years experience in recruitment and employee relations, preferably within a retail environment
Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR best practices
Proven ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and sound judgment.
Strong people management and conflict resolution skills
Proficient in MS Office applications
