HR Officer
Job Summary:
The HR Officer is responsible for supporting the overall human resources functions within the Food & Beverage (F&B) operations. This role focuses on recruitment, employee relations, timekeeping, performance management, and compliance with labor laws, ensuring that staffing requirements are met efficiently in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. The HR Officer plays a key role in maintaining a positive workplace culture, accurate attendance monitoring, and operational readiness across all F&B outlets.
Salary level P25,000-P30,000/month, not including extras
Job Description:
1. Recruitment & Staffing
- Manage end-to-end recruitment process for F&B roles.
- Coordinate with operations for manpower requirements and deployment
- Conduct initial interviews, screening, and onboarding of new hires
2. Employee Relations
- Address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary issues
- Promote a positive and productive working environment
- Assist in implementing employee engagement activities
3. Timekeeping & Attendance Management
- Monitor daily attendance, time-in/time-out, and work schedules of employees
- Review and validate DTR (Daily Time Record), ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Track absences, tardiness, undertime, and overtime
- Coordinate with department heads for schedule adjustments and shift planning
- Ensure proper filing and approval of leaves, OT requests, and schedule changes
- Generate and submit timekeeping reports for payroll processing
- Investigate discrepancies in attendance and resolve timekeeping issues
4. Payroll Support
- Coordinate with payroll team to ensure accurate and timely computation of salaries, overtime, and deductions
- Ensure all timekeeping data is complete and submitted on time
- Familiar with computing for Service Charge through the POS system currently being used
5. Performance Management
- Support performance appraisal processes for F&B staff
- Monitor employee performance and recommend improvements or actions
- Assist in coaching and development programs
6. Training & Development
- Coordinate training programs such as food safety, customer service, and SOP compliance
- Ensure employees are properly trained before deployment
7. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and food industry regulations
- Maintain accurate employee records and 201 files
- Handle government-mandated reports (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, DOLE compliance)
8. Operations Support
- Work closely with store managers and kitchen heads on HR-related concerns
- Assist in manpower planning for peak seasons and special events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field
- At least 2-3 years of HR experience, preferably in F&B, retail, or hospitality
- Knowledgeable in timekeeping systems and payroll processes
- Knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and shifting schedule environment
- Amenable to moving around to various branches and to be on call outside regular working hours
